Oak Hammock’s fitness center is truly world-class with on-site staff that include personal trainers to help you stay vibrant, active and fit. Our fitness center includes temperature-controlled, indoor aerobic and lap pools, a therapy whirlpool, lockers and dressing rooms, free weights and the latest exercise equipment. Residents are free to take scheduled group classes, like tai chi or pilates, or book a one-on-one session with a personal trainer.
With our lush, green grounds and temperate Gainesville climate, outdoor activities take center stage at Oak Hammock. Play tennis or pickleball or bocce or enjoy the dog park. Residents of Oak Hammock have access to our extensive on-site library plus multiple libraries at the University of Florida. Residents love the large woodworking shop and creative arts studio where they can continue lifelong hobbies and passions or learn something new through lessons and workshops. In addition, residents can view spectacular, original works of art in the art gallery, where exhibits are refreshed quarterly.
The Institute for Learning in Retirement is a vibrant community of retirement-age members who are engaged in lifelong learning, personal fulfillment and continuing education through participation in a variety of courses, programs and activities.

Oak Hammock has its own on-site bank with safety deposit boxes and ATM. We also have a postal center, salon services and an outpatient primary care clinic and dental clinic.
